The changing role of public participation in a transforming NHS
The Next Steps on the Five Year Forward View states “Making progress on our priorities and addressing the challenges the NHS faces over the next two years cannot be done without genuine involvement of patients and communities.” (March 2017)
Over the last 5 years NHS England has developed relationships with over 800 PPV Partners who are part of our Committees, Working Groups, Advisory Groups and Clinical Reference Groups, amongst others. These valued relationships are central to all our work going forward. When we refer to ‘PPV Partners’ we mean patients, carers, service users and members of the public who get involved in our work on a regular basis. This event will also be open to PPV Partners who support CCGs and Trusts.

10am – 4pm
Hilton Wembley, London

This event is free for NHS England PPV Partners.

We would also be grateful of your support in completing and sharing the links to this year’s surveys for NHS England PPV Partners and for Chairs of NHS England committees / groups / boards. The aim of the surveys is to find out about the difference that PPV Partners have made and about experiences of working with NHS England, with a view to informing improvements. We are keen to hear from PPV Partners working with NHS England and from chairs of NHS England committees with one or more PPV Partner members. Versions of the PPV Partners survey in Word and easy read can be made available on request – please email email@example.com The deadline for completion is 23rd March.
